This Privacy Policy explains how Singlemonkey Solutions ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit singlemonkey.com or use any of our products and services. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Who we are

Singlemonkey Solutions is a sole proprietorship business registered in India, operating the website singlemonkey.com and the software products listed on it.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information we need to deliver our services:

  • Account information: Name, email address, phone number, company name (optional), and password when you sign up.
  • Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment partner (Razorpay for Indian customers, Stripe for international customers). We never see or store your full card or bank details. We retain only the last 4 digits, card type, and expiry month/year for reconciliation.
  • Usage data: How you interact with our products — which features you use, campaign counts, error logs. Used to improve the product.
  • Integration credentials: If you connect a third-party service (such as a WhatsApp Business provider), we store your API credentials encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
  • Customer data you process through our tools: Phone numbers, names, and other variables you put into your spreadsheets for messaging. This is "your data" — we act as a processor on your behalf and do not use it for our own purposes.
  • Cookies: Essential cookies for session management and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of our services may not function.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide and maintain our services
  • To process payments and send billing-related communications
  • To send transactional emails (account updates, security alerts, delivery reports)
  • To respond to your questions and provide support
  • To improve our products, fix bugs, and develop new features
  • To comply with legal obligations, including tax and record-keeping requirements
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

We do NOT sell your personal data, and we do NOT use it for advertising targeting.

4. How we share your information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers we rely on: Hosting (Render), database (Neon), email delivery (Resend), payment processing (Razorpay, Stripe), analytics (Sentry for errors only). Each is bound by strict data protection agreements.
  • WhatsApp Business providers you authorize: When you connect your MSG91, Gupshup, Meta, Interakt, or WATI account, we relay your campaigns through them. We share only what is necessary to send the messages you instruct us to send.
  • Legal authorities: When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: If Singlemonkey Solutions is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new entity. We will notify you by email before this happens.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in Asia or the European Union, depending on your region. We use industry-standard security measures:

  • All data transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher)
  • Credentials and sensitive fields encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM
  • Regular automated backups with 7-day retention
  • Access controls with audit logging
  • Third-party penetration testing on an annual basis

Despite these measures, no system is perfectly secure. You agree that you use our services at your own risk and take responsibility for keeping your account password confidential.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated information
  • Delete your account and personal data (subject to legal retention requirements for tax records, which we must retain for 8 years under Indian law)
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object to certain processing activities
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at support@singlemonkey.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. After account deletion:

  • Personal data is deleted within 30 days
  • Financial records (invoices, payment receipts) are retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law
  • Anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely for product improvement

8. Children

Our services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us immediately.

9. International transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including India, the United States, and the European Union. We ensure these transfers comply with applicable law through standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions where required.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to all registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
